Week four has been the most challenging yet. Because of an outside visitor to the base that tested positive for covid-19, the entire missionary base went under a 14 day quarantine. So far, after a week, no one has shown any symptoms of being sick in any way. We’ve prayed and are thanking God for his blessings. In spite of the quarantine, all the students live on the base and all the school staff decided to ride out the quarantine on the base also. Guest teachers are using Zoom to video conference. So the lessons of the week centered around the “Father Heart of God”. We focused on God being our father and how that affects our relationship with him. The bible says that we are now co-heirs with Christ. So we need to understand that through christ, God now relates to us as a father would his children, with care and understanding. There is no need for guilt, because just as we forgive our little children, God knows we are not perfect and are still learning to live in his ways and hear his voice. But like sheep that only respond to the voice of their shepherd, we need to call out to our father and know him.
